It was a bug in the signature-check code inside those two versions, not in the app files' signatures: every release is signed with the same official key, which is why installing manually over the old version works. Fix: download the latest version from this page and install it over the old one once, without losing your downloads; automatic updates work after that (fixed in 0.7.4).
